We are currently seeking a highly motivated General Maintenance Worker located in Atlanta, GA. Overview: The general maintenance worker assists and helps Technicians with repairs and maintenance of machinery, mechanical equipment used in baggage conveyor systems, passenger boarding bridges and/or auxiliary equipment. Responsibility for performing assigned un-skilled (bag runner/ bag unjammer, clear faults) to semi-skilled duties (supervised repairs/maintenance) to assist the Technicians. The approximate start date is January 6, 2025. Required Education: High School Diploma Required Qualifications: In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities. Experience in mechanical, electrical maintenance, conveyor systems, passenger boarding bridges or material handling equipment is preferred Associate degree in electronics or mechanical repair or related field or equivalent experience is preferred Technically inclined, with potential to learn and grow into maintaining baggage handling and/or PBB systems Self-Starter and Pro-active Detail Oriented and Stress Resistant Working knowledge of computers and equipment Customer Oriented Innovative and Self Assured Physically able to pick up and transport up to 70 pounds Ability to complete training and security checks required to receive security badge for access to restricted airport areas Observe and comply with Company, OSHA and FAA regulations regarding safety and security Flexible in shift work and able to work nights, weekends, overtime and holidays Responsibilities: Assist Technicians with repairs of all BHS and/or all PBB equipment and auxiliary equipment Monitor the BHS from the control room Clear jams and respond to trouble calls in the BHS and/or PBB Run bags Clear Faults Assist where required Salary: $19.00 Bonus Pay: A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at managements discretion.
