Job Description:
A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Coordinator
responsible for verifying patient insurance benefits and
eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
Audit patient schedules to ensure verification and documentation of
coverage restrictions
Obtain referrals or authorizations from primary care offices or
insurance companies
Index incoming records and assist internal teams in resolving
insurance issues
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Certificate
from College or Technical School preferred
2 - 3 years' experience in medical or related field required
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Familiarity with health insurance industry practices and/or medical
billing procedures
Computer literacy required; experience with medical
scheduling/billing systems preferred
